August Sunrise Welcome Walk

  • Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve 24205 W Cuba Rd Barrington, IL United States (map)

Experience a sunrise forest bathing walk through a series of invitations that engage your senses and heart to feel in the present moment. You'll be encouraged to slow down, embody and ground in the moment, and connect with the natural world as you explore the forest. This relaxed walk unfolds at a slow, meditative pace covering less than a mile. The walk will conclude with a small celebration featuring tea brewed from native plants harvested from a local garden.

This trail is frequented by bikers, runners and dog walkers and can be busy on the main trail.

We will meet in the parking lot and walk about .25 miles before we begin. We will head to the quiet of the pine tree grove. Total walk distance will be about 1.60 miles roundtrip.
