Participate in a peaceful, immersive guided forest therapy walk on the grounds of the UW Madison Arboretum. Through a series of gentle invitations, artist Cathy McCauley will guide you in awakening your senses, connecting deeply with the natural surroundings, and finding stillness in the present moment. Let this be a beginning or deepening of a practice of pausing in nature.
As we deepen our connection with the natural world, we begin to practice reciprocity. We may become more aware of the history of the land we walk on and our personal responsibility to protect and care for it. In doing so, we learn how to be better stewards of our generous Earth.
We will meet at the UW Madison Arboretum off the parking lot at the art installation Preserve. We will begin promptly at 9:30am. The walk will cover less than one mile in length and is suitable for people of all abilities. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
$30 per participant, $100/group of 4 or more residing at the same address.
A percentage of proceeds will support the UW Land Stewardship Fund.
Register no later than Wednesday, Aug 13. Walk-ins will not be accommodated for this event.
